Two days. One Room. A group of people who believe there is a better way.
You did the Collaborative Practice training because you believed there was a better way to prevent and resolve estate disputes.
But then you went back to work.
The traditional ways are familiar. Systems are hard to change. Clients don’t know to ask for Collaborative Practice. Referrers don’t always understand it. And the matters don’t simply come flooding in.
THE GATHERING is about changing that
For two days, we’re inviting past Collaborative Practice Wills & Estates trainees to leave everyday practise behind, come to Palm Cove and help us build what comes next.

We're going to tackle the elephants.
Why aren’t we getting more Collaborative matters?
Why doesn’t the market understand what we do?
Is “Collaborative Practice” even the right name?
How do we explain it to clients?
How do we get referrers on board?
How do we answer the sceptics and naysayers?
And what would happen if we stopped thinking about getting a few more matters and started thinking much, much bigger?
Nothing is off limits.
We’ll challenge assumptions, pull apart the problems, prototype ideas and build practical solutions together.
And you'll leave with things you can actually use.
We don't want you flying home with another notebook full of good intentions.
We want you leaving Palm Cove with energy, answers, connections and resources you can put to work immediately.
We’ll be working on practical tools such as:
- website content that helps families understand the Collaborative difference;
- social media and LinkedIn content;
- blogs, lead magnets and educational resources;
- messaging for clients and referrers;
- answers to the difficult questions and common objections;
- ideas for attracting your first — or your next ten — Collaborative matters; and
- a network of practitioners who want to help each other bring this work to life.
Some of the resources will be prepared in draft before we arrive – using what we generated from our first Palm Cove Retreat.
Others won’t exist until we build them together in Palm Cove.
That’s the point.

For two days, we’ll create our own temporary collaborative world in Palm Cove where we can think differently, challenge each other, create generously — and build.
